Iris Logo Contest: "Love is collaborative"

💡 Background

Iris is a program developed by the Ojos Project at UC Irvine to help caregivers/families better manage caregiving tasks. If you've ever been a caregiver for a loved one, you know how overwhelming it can be to keep track of your loved one's care. Iris is meant to help you keep track of all care-related tasks in an efficient and easy-to-understand way.

As we approach our first public release, we came to realize something critical — we don't have a logo! This is where you come in. 👀

🎨 Theme

Love is collaborative.

When it comes to caring for a loved one, it isn't always a one-person effort. It includes family, nursing staff, and more to be able to provide the best possible care for someone. In honor of this, your logo should be inspired by this theme.

📐 Requirements

• Theme
  • Love is collaborative
  • No mention of "Iris"! We may change the name in the future.
• Formats
  • Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)
• Colors
  • Iris' primary color is blue, but feel free to use colors that represent trust, simplicity, and reliability.
  • Must be monochrome compatible (Work well in black and white)
• Size
  • The logo must be recognizable even if it's tiny. Remember, it will be an app icon too!
• Licensing
  • Submissions must be licensed under CC0 1.0 Universal
• Originality
  • All work must be your own.

📬 Submission

Please send a ZIP file to developers@ojosproject.org containing:

• Your logo in SVG format
• Your name or alias
• Portfolio or website link
• A short note about your design (optional)

By submitting, you agree to work with the Iris developers for small post-selection revisions if needed.

🗓️ Deadlines

• Submission Deadline: April 20, 2025
• Winner Notified: April 21, 2025
• Logo Announced: April 25, 2025 (with the v0.1 release!)
